Bangalore

After so may times crossing by this city in last 2-3 years; about a month back I settled here with my new job! A new job.. yes! I have what I promised to find for me when I left Infosys. I have a job I like!
In June when I came to Bangalore in search of work, it was more of a retreat away from home in search of the job I would like. And it is so satisfying today to say that today as an employed person (may be too soon to say, but still..) I eagerly wait for the Monday! :)

In all this while needless to say I found myself infatuated towards the city. I say infatuated cause I am a one-city girl! My love will always be Jaipur - The Pink City! But then I favour open relationship and so I am looking forward to a short time affair with Bangalore! :)

Perfect European-like weather. Timely and untimely rains! Streets that I walk on! People I meet! Places I go... I like it all. Everything ensures that fixed smile on my face! Including food!
Yes... I have never ever anywhere experimented with so many cuisines over so many restaurants!
But there is this one restaurant that I cherish the experience of. The restaurant is called Veekes and Thomas! :)

This restaurant was opened up by these two guys Veekes and Thomas with a promise to serve authentic continental food. To test the promise that the restaurant was adorning on one of its wall, I ordered a Chicken Lasagna. Till date there had been only few rare place that actually served good authentic Lasagna! And Veekes and Thomas ensured their name on the list! The Lasagna was least to say yummy!! :)
The ambiance of the English looking restaurant was the cherry on the cake. One complete wall adorned the framed photographs of music bands and actors of the retro era. I recognized Al Pacino to my best knowledge along with some music bands of 60s and 70s. And the music played brought the souls in the photographs to life!

To add to our experience it so happened that the very day that we had brought our hunger quest to Veekes & Thomas was their 10 year anniversary! And so the free dessert... :D
With this choco treat one of my best experience of a restaurant came to end and I bid it adieu with a promise to return.....
